This wine has earned a place in the cellar, and the grape varietal has earned a spot for more sampling. Phenomenal. The nose is overwhelming black cherry, but more like a cherry reduction with syrupy overtones. Color is nearly purple with bright ruby red rim that is quite distinctive. Palette is smooth black cherry and blackberry. Just smooth - with a hint of wood and tannin to keep the fruit in check. Pairs beautifully with skirt steak and garlic black lentils.
