Chateau Beychevelle had a good run when there was a huge increase in Bordeaux consumption/ investment particularly coming from China in 2009. Luckily for Beychevelle, the Chinese consumers recognised Beychevelle by their Dragon boat logo on their label, from that the estate gained a lot of fame in China. Consequently, the prices went up quickly. This 1990 is light bodied and transparent of the terroir - Good inky dark fruits, not particularly rich but soft textured and earthy. Falls short.
