The 2018 Reserve Shiraz is the flagship wine for Moffatdale Ridge, it was made from the finest fruit possible. Hand picked in the pre Dawn mist of a cool February morning. The fermentation was nurtured with our winemaker plunging the skins every hour on the hour to insure only the coolest fermentation and the highest possible extraction of colour from the skins. Hie then pressed off the juice using our old hand wound basket press, making use of the cool night air to assist with retaining quality. The wine was then stored in trio of the finest new oak barrels selected to deliver amazing complexity of spices, aroma’s and a rich deep chocolate on the finish.
