Bacardi Reserva 8 Anos Rum
For many years the preserve only of the Bacardi family, Bacardi-8-year-old was first released with a sherry oak finish, as a very limited edition, in 1997 for sale to Cigar Aficionado magazine subscribers. Bottled in a Baccarat crystal decanter, it commended a $400 price tag.
Noting the success of tis commemorative release, Bacardi launched this well-regarded 8-year-old variant in late 1996, without the sherry oak finish, Baccarat crystal decanter or the collector’s only price tag.
In 2015, as part of a re-branding of the Bacardi range, the name was changed to Bacardi Ocho after the Spanish word for the number eight.
This is Bacardi’s premium dark rum, which is a blend of rums aged for 8 years or more. Dried fruits, vanilla, and subtle spices characterise the flavour and aroma of this Puerto Rican rum.
